Let it flow.
We need your stories, experiences, and insights to help expand environmental communications & outreach in Maine.
When it comes to the climate and conservation work taking place throughout Maine — all the planning, research, and fieldwork — most organizations' time and resources are dedicated to the work itself.

But the communication of that work and its value for Mainers?
That's often a back-burner project.
We hope to change that.
We’re working with the University of Maine to set up a video studio where we’ll capture short on-camera interviews during the 2026 Maine Sustainability & Water Conference.
Our goals are simple:
- Improve public understanding of the work being done.
- Share opportunities for people to get involved and support the work.
And the best way to do this?
Hear directly from the people who know the most about it.

So we need to talk.
These interviews will be used to develop short videos that any organization can leverage to support public outreach, education, and engagement initiatives throughout Maine.
So both large nonprofits and small local land trusts can benefit from the expertise and stories of the many people working to support Maine’s ecosystems.
Ways to get involved:
Share your story.
We’re offering 10-15 minute sessions to sit down and chat with our team about anything you want to share.
We’re also a curious bunch, active across many conservation and water quality projects, so we’re happy to ask questions and see where it goes.
Connect with us.
10 minutes is a tight window, especially when the work is complex, and the people are passionate about it.
If you have a big story, we’re still interested in chatting find out how we can help you and your organization share it far and wide.
Do you have any colleagues or connections who might be interested in participating?
Copy the URL for this page and share it with others attending the event, or anyone else with a strong connection to Maine’s waters.
Still on the fence?
We’ve done this long enough to know that most people’s initial reaction to being filmed is “Nope.”
While you may not love being on camera, it’s your stories and insights that are going to resonate with the people we most need to connect with.
- Landowners
- Municipalities
- Legislators
- Students
- Community groups
- People who dump waste in our watersheds
- And the future stewards Maine needs
We’re passionate about climate communications, and we’re here to make sure you look and sound like the expert you are.

Come on...look how much fun they are having!
Here are a few ways we can use this content to engage the public.

Interviews + B-Roll
We can combine your interview with footage of Maine’s ecosystems to paint a richer picture of the topic — bringing people into the story to make a deeper connection to your work.

Audio Only
Or we can use the audio from the interview, and pair it with footage, photos, or animated graphics to help visualize the nuances of the story.
